DIY Washi and Duct Tape Gifts for Teachers

Make your new teacher a special gift she or he can use in the classroom — out of washi tape or duct tape.

1. Duct Tape Flower Pencil Toppers

This is the only craft that isn’t self-explanatory. Buy the Duct Tape book or watch this how-to video to learn how to make them.

2. Duct Tape or Washi Tape Clipboards

Cover your old clipboards with tape. Lovely!

3. Washi Tape or Duct Tape Composition Notebook Covers

We recommend finding opaque washi tape or using duct tape for this project so the black and white composition notebook colors don’t show through.

4. Washi Tape Keyboard Decoration

My kids thought this was the most scandalous fun ever. Mom letting us decorate her keyboard!? Whoa.

5. Washi Tape Pencils

Start rolling down those pencils in diagonals. Cut at the top and bottom for the eraser and lead.
